Sustainable Fashion Day takes place in Kafka´s Birthplace this weekend September 3rd till 4th as a part of
Mercedes-Benz Prague Fashion Week. It offers ethical alternatives in the field of fashion and we just couldn´t have missed it with Pearl and my bf. Different brands and fashion designers meet at one place and you can stop by each stand, look through all the pieces and hear the story behind them(in what way are they ethical, sustainable and original).
We have to favourite ones:
Etik butik and
Better on me. The first one offer vegan shoes and ethical fashion which excel in Prague in the chose and width of the selection. You will find her brands like Armed Angels, Stanley and Stella, Wills London nebo Nae Vegan Shoes. You can feel the personality of the founder Olga Garajová behind it who believes in ethical fashion and lives according to the idea. She has a personal experience with the products she sells and she is ready to share it with you.
Behind the second brand there is also an inspirational woman, Niki Cutts. She got together with the Canadian photojournalist Jo-Anne McArthur who captured positive moments in animal rescue centres and these photos were used as motives on T-shirts and other things.
Both of these ladies prove in practice that it is definitely possible to have a fashion business where people who produce the clothing and shoes are not exploited and so are not animals. If you find these interesting you can visit them today in Prague (till 8pm) or check out their webs.

Sustainable Fashion Day, akce, která nabízí etické alternativy v rámci módy a na které jsme s Pearl a přítelem prostě nemohli chybět. Na jednom místě se potkávají nejrůznější značky a návrháři a vy se můžete procházet u jednotlivých stánků, prohlížet si jednotlivé kousky a poslechnout si příběhy, které za nimi stojí (čím jsou etické, udržitelné i jinak originální).
My máme dva hlavní favority:
Etik butik a
Better on me. První ze zmíněných obchodů nabízí veganskou obuv a etickou módu, která v našich končinách vyniká nejen šíří a výběrem sortimentu. Najdete tu značky Armed Angels, Stanley and Stella, Wills London nebo Nae Vegan Shoes. Za tím vším je ale hlavně cítit osobnost zakladatelky Olgy Garajové, která myšlence udržitelné módy věří a sama tím vším žije. S výrobky, které prodává má vlastní zkušenost a je ochotná ji s vámi sdílet.
Za druhou zmíněnou značkou stojí rovněž inspirativní žena, Niki Cutts. Ta se spojila se s kanadskou fotografkou Jo-Anne McArthur, která zachytila pozitivní momenty ze záchranných center pro zvířata a následně je použila jako motivy na trička a další produkty.
